Hidden Gem #4 Every Pearl Has Its Oyster eBook India Lee
In the previous installment in this series, No Stone Unturned, Gemma revealed her real identity to the world and learned how to be both Gemma Hunter and Queen Bee. Basically, she discovered herself after months of being torn in half by her two identities. She learned that she doesn't have to be Gemma or Queen Bee because the real Gemma is a little bit of both.In Every Pearl Has Its Oyster, Gemma's record label wants to turn her into someone she isn't, an over-the-top sex symbol who goes by Q.B. Not only that, but Gemma feels overwhelmed by everything: the increased security, her label, the return of her arch-nemesis Madison, and her gorgeous and talented boyfriend Tyler Chase. Read this novel to find out what Gemma does when the pressure gets to be too much!
I love the Hidden Gem series by India Lee. It's definitely a little big younger than the books I typically read, but it's not too young. At least, it isn't too young for me. Honestly, I'm a little kid at heart so I love slipping into India Lee's fictional world of pop stars, movie stars, NBA players, stalkers, bloggers, and journalist! In my opinion, The Hidden Gem series is sort of like Hannah Montana meets Gossip Girl! I loved Hannah Montana growing up and I love Gossip Girl so this series is right up my alley.
Hidden Gem is a fun and exciting series. The author is extremely inventive; you never really know what's going to happen to Gemma next. Personally, I LOVED the way Every Pearl Has Its Oyster turned out; it set up for the final installment in this series perfectly. I can't wait to see what Gemma does next!
I gave Every Pearl Has It's Oyster (Hidden Gem #4) by India Lee 4 STARS (3.5 STARS). Hidden Gem is a cute, light, fun series that is PERFECT for young adults.

Hidden Gem #4 Every Pearl Has Its Oyster eBook India Lee Reviews
I love this series, I like how Gemma has finally revealed that she is Queen Bee & I love the whole love triangle thing going on. Cannot wait for the rest of the short stories & the last HG book to be released ') Awesome India Lee!!! Xox
Great story
I really liked this series. Gem's relationships I didn't fully understand until this last book. So it definitely kept me guessing! I did find it interesting that her aunt was more of a parent than her real parents, but I guess ever family situation is different ;-)
Another great installment in my favorite guilty pleasure series Hidden Gem! Being 34 you would think this book would not appeal to me but for some reason I cannot put these down when they come out. Ms. Lee does an amazing job of bringing her characters to life with great plot development. I cannot wait for the final installment to see if Gemma and Damian finally get together!! I just wish I didn't have to wait too long!
The good storylines keep coming. . Gemma is having a career crisis, and everything else in her life is in turmoil also. Book 5 awaits me!
How can I give my review without talking about what happens in the book. Isn't that what a review is about ? So sorry I just can't help myself. I want to say that I love this book and the other books in this series. I fell in love with the characters (not all of them) but I love the story line. What can I say I'm a sucker for Drama. Tyler kind of pissed me off in this book. It's like OMG just give Gemma some space gosh. I mean some of the stuff that she does I don't agree with but what can I say Chicks before Dicks. so even if I don't agree I'm still on her side. I'm so glad that I was wrong about Zoe and Harper cause at first I didn't trust them at all but there good people. Oh and Madison I fricken knew she was gonna be Tyler's costar when that video of her went viral. And I can't believe that Tyler only put on a show when Gemma was there, how rude. I think that's when he started pissing me off. I got even more mad when he started getting over protective when Damian was around. I mean come on there friends they will always have a history together and if you can't deal with that then you need to leave. I swear Damian should have kicked Tylers ass. He would have won too. Haha. But despite all that drama I wanted both Tyler and Gemma to be happy. They have been through a lot together. But because I'm a Damian fan (I love him) I will still be rooting for him. Well just have to see in the next book which is the final one in the series that will be coming out this year. Hopefully soon I want to know what happens.
Gemma and Tyler's lives apart and together are so rarified, it would be a challenge for a therapist to comprehend the many contributing factors that complicate it, and sort them out for them. On the other hand, it's pretty simple. Tyler is jealous of the friendship and past that Gemma shares with Damien. As a close and loyal friend, Damien is the perfect storm -- unusually perceptive, which happens to be what it takes to understand what's going on in Gemma's head. She needs him, as a friend, not in a romantic way (at least, as I read it -- when he shows up at a joint appearance with a supermodel on his arm, she feels no pangs). He "gets" her (and he gets people generally). Tyler compensates by setting out on a mission to know more fully about Gemma -- if he understands her past, maybe he can find some peace with their dysfunction. He knows she opens up to Damien and not him (Damien knows how to open her up, he asks the right questions and has no agenda). Tyler, frustrated, becomes obsessive. He wants to be everything, fix everything, and control everything with her. He's 19, and he adores Gemma, so we give him credit for the mistakes he makes, and so does Gemma, but their relationship has hit a wall. Tyler is a dear person, I hope he uses this time between books to work on things, hopefully with a professional. I also hope I am on the same page as India Lee. She has written a wonderful series and I love and admire her work. I honestly do not know where she takes things from here, so I look forward to Book Five this fall. And if she needs it, Book Six, too.
